The Alba Madonna And The Inner World: Can Mercy Prevail Over Judgment In Our Quest For Basic Needs?
The Necessity Of A New Perspective On Food And Shelter
This is a page of my coloring book named Cozy Corners. You can download coloring books for free on my website. I illustrate some safe shelters for my social media short videos, and sometimes I combine these places and famous art paintings through artificial intelligence in an animation. I show this safe shelter illustration while explaining a very important subject from our divine work.
First of all, we should remember food and safe shelter needs. These are basic needs for any living organism, but the human body is gifted with a precious part; its name is the soul, and if we want to have sustainable food and safe shelter, we must connect with other people through rules. Law systems, religion systems, school curriculums, university missions, and so onâevery one of them was built by humanity for guaranteeing food and safe shelter for a small group as members of related structures.
Some people feel responsibilities for all of humanity. They think about historical events, human nature, and solving economic and moral problems, but not only for a small group. They want to give a new perspective to us. What is our task? The answer is very basic: Explaining every term according to the three basic needs.
Let's explain what judgment and mercy are according to the "love your neighbor as yourself" perspective.
Judgment Vs. Mercy In A World Of Basic Needs
Judgment: If we give food and safe shelter to people according to their work, this is a judgment situation. In this case, some of them will die, some of them will work hard even if they donât want to work, and some of them will have more food and shelter because of their greater and precious talents or stronger networks. This is a judgment world, and we can see systems like this in our times.
You can see most people feel anxiety, stress, illnesses, and sadness because of this, and we canât determine which people deserve food and safe shelter in fact! They feel very bad because this relationship is a servant and owner relationship. We are not equal on basic needs, and you can see animalistic competition everywhere. Most people are unhappy and hopeless for their nature. We cannot eliminate judgments, but we can eliminate judgments from food and safe shelter.
Mercy: If we give food and safe shelter to people freely, this will be mercy. In this case, they eat and sleep first for 3 days, maybe at most 3 months, but no more! We are human, and we want to show ourselves with our successes, our cleverness, our talents, and our work styles. People can focus on the âlove your neighbor as yourselfâ education, and we can give honor to these people. We donât need to kill others through our greed.
If we impose starvation on them, how can they grow! They canât grow, and they donât allow us to grow either. Maybe you can live in a luxury villa, but you canât go to see a different country because some countries are very poor, and if you go there, you will meet some angry and unhappy people. You canât see the climate there, you can't eat a traditional meal, and you canât sleep safely in your hotel room.
We should turn judgment into mercy. Can you do it? Absolutely yes. You donât need to do big actions; you only need to think about it. You need to connect with this idea and start to talk about it.
This content is part of my âlove your neighbor as yourselfâ education curriculum. You can freely download my coloring book pages from my website and start to paint with your style. You can use them for sharing the âlove your neighbor as yourselfâ law all over the world.
The Alba Madonna And The Problem Of Evil
Raphael painted Jesus and John the Baptist as children with Mary. They seem very happy in a rural area and are playing with a stick. But when you focus on this painting, you can see their toy is a cross. It symbolizes that they accepted their crucifixion in adulthood. This seems like a very melancholic and sad perspective, but there is more to it than that.

We have two worlds: 1- the inner world, 2- the external world.
You see the external world: there are leaders, some political parties, some ruthless bosses, and bad people. You can feel the inner world: there are some archetypes, some conflicted ideas, different feelings, thoughts, haunting memories, etc.
If the world were created only on the rule of judgment, a bad man would die immediately when he tried to harm someone. We would be punished suddenly when a bad thought came to our minds.
Jesus represents our merciful external world. This is a very big conflict regarding the problem of evil. Why did God let it be? Why didn't God punish the Roman emperor? And how can we say that this was from mercy?
You might say, âIf only we were ruled by God with judgment. Then Jesus wouldn't have died on the cross.â
The Inner War And The Universal Rule
These conflicts seem very right, but they don't work for our external and inner worlds. Jesus, the Roman Empire, the Jewish people who lived in Jesus's era, inner enemies, inner conflicts, and every one of them needed only three basic needs. The Alba Madonna wasnât the only mother who was very upset because of her son's situation. Our world history is full of events like this. When we couldnât attain food and shelter, we became enemies toward the people who had food and shelter; when we attained more food and shelter than others, we became enemies toward weak people because they were a problem and threatening to us!
This war will never end in our external world until we focus on our inner war between our good and weak parts and other thoughts. Can we focus on our inner world? Absolutely, it is possible.
If we guaranteed the three basic needs for all of humanity, why would an emperor think badly of Jesus? Why would people from different religions compete with each other? We need to open a new front line in our inner world with a leading, common rule. The rule is "love your neighbor as yourself" without exception among every religion, every people, and every nation. We need only a small group of people who aim to guarantee the three basic needs for all of humanity: 1- food for everyone, 2- safe shelter for everyone, and 3- education about the meaning of life. The meaning of life is living from a âlove your neighbor as yourselfâ perspective. We can guarantee food and safe shelter only in this case.
